it's raining today, but the last few evenings we've been able to steal a few moments in our vegetable garden pulling weeds and prepping... d has really enjoyed helping (well her version of helping) and pointing out all of her finds as we work. we've seen ants, spiders, pincher bugs, ladybugs. however, two nights ago she discovered something that had me stumped at first.
"ladybug poopa"
now, i'm sure we're on the same page as you read this... i'm going to walk over to where she's at and find some "ladybug poop" (or dirt) on a stick. instead i found this:
a ladybug pupa - hahaha! i didn't have the heart to correct her, so i hid my giggles and listened to her explain the life cycle of ladybugs. i was also informed that all of them are girls, so i guess disney had it wrong in bug's life. (a quick google search and we found out there are boy and girl ladybugs)
life according to d is good for the heart! stay warm today... i'll have some t-shirts that i'm working on to share soon.
